About DSE 

DELIMA SOCCER ENTERPRISES, INC., or DSE, is headed up by the native Brazilian and longtime soccer ambassador, Miguel de Lima.  Miguel played goalkeeper professionally at the first division level for famous clubs C.R. Vasco da Gama and Botafogo (Brazil), Deportivo Cali and Millonarios (Colombia), F.C. Koln (Germany) and the Saint Louis Stars and New York Generals of the NASL (USA). Miguel then became one of the first Goalkeeper Coaches ever to be hired at the college level, when he joined the Saint Louis University coaching staff from 1972-1979.  During his tenure, SLU won the 1972 and 1973 NCAA National Championship and finished as the Runner-up in 1974. Miguel was also the former Goalkeeper Coach and Head Scout for the legendary New York Cosmos from 1979-1984, winning four Eastern Division Championships and two NASL National Championships.  Other highlights in Miguel’s career include working as a member of Pele’s staff during World Cup 1990 in Italy and serving as the Goalkeeper Coach for the Brazilian "Masters" National Team.   

During Miguel’s coaching career he was always an Ambassador for the world’s game by introducing American players to other styles of soccer through tours to Central and South America and Europe.  Miguel also acted as a consultant on several training films and books, and directed and coached at many youth soccer camps and clinics.  Miguel has been taking teams to Brazil for training and tours since 1987, when the Pelé Cup was first introduced to youth teams around the globe.  Since that time, over 1500 players and hundreds of parents have traveled to Brazil under Miguel’s direct supervision to experience a once in a lifetime opportunity to not only gain valuable soccer skills but to experience international travel and foster goodwill, friendship and camaraderie between the two countries with a Christ centered message.  

Miguel is from Brazil originally, but has lived in the United States since finishing his playing career in 1970 and is now a very proud U.S. citizen.  He understands the things that are important to a player and his family traveling to another country such as safety, supervision, clean accommodations, nutritious and enjoyable meals, quality soccer training and a fun experience.  In addition, Miguel’s expertise and knowledge have allowed him to recruit some of the best coaches in the industry.  Miguel’s staff of tour managers that work alongside him are bi-lingual, professional and trustworthy.  Players are in good hands with the DSE staff. DSE Staff also includes qualified bi-lingual coaches from the US and Brazil.
