Intensive
Soccer
Training
Camps
Players and
teams participating in the DSE Intensive Training Camps can expect
to follow the professionally designed training schedules created for
the Brazilian club youth teams. Players can anticipate to train at
least 8 times in 5 days. Included in those practices will be intrasquad scrimmages. Practice games with outside Brazilian teams may
also be arranged.
The four areas
of training covered during the intensive training camps are:
I. Physical
Conditioning – Flexibility, Endurance, Speed, Acceleration, Agility,
Coordination and Strength
II. Technical -
Refinement of skills including ball control, passing, dribbling,
receiving, crossing, finishing, etc.
III. Tactical –
Improving vision and the speed and quality of decision making within
the demands imposed by the high quality Brazilian training
environment.
IV. Functional –
Practicing all functions of defensive and offensive aspects of play
(e.g. defensive heading, midfielders switching the field of play,
outside backs and midfielders overlapping and crossing, forwards
finishing, etc.).
